Skrunda-1

Skrunda-1 is a former Soviet but now abandoned city in Latvia. Used to be a secret military place with a big radar. After the Russians left the place in the end of the 90's, the place remained empty and almost forgotten.

Walking the Causeway

The Giant Causeway is one of the busiest tourist attractions of Northern Ireland. Walking on those rocks, there were at least a few hundred people behind me climbing and taking pictures of those stones. Must have been waiting for at least 20 minutes to get this one chance to get only one person in the shot.

Hope

Photo taken somewhere above Belgium in a hot air balloon. This photo got nominated in the 2011 Black & White Spider Awards in the category 'nature.

Zooveikals, Riga

Zooveikals shop in Purvciems, Riga. Purvciems is a neighbourhood in Riga which means literally translated "marsh village". Very characteristic for this neighbourhood are the large concrete apartment blocs and high-rise buildings from the late Soviet period and the beginning of the independence years. Russian is the main language you hear here on the streets. This photo was taken during a 30 minute walk around the area.

Saaremaa Windmill

Windmill on the southern part of the Saaremaa island, Estonia. Far away from any city or village, where you can stay for the night and enjoy nature at it's best.
